Kick Off to Christmas Giveaway 10 - Bugalug

I am a girly girl. I love pink and bows and hate bugs and dirt! When I had Miss Nevaeh I couldn't wait to start dressing her up in pretty dresses and bows. I learned early, though, that bows are not all the same. When it comes to hair clips, bows, headbands and the like, quality counts. If I buy a bow that doesn't stay in Nevaeh's hair, it's useless to me and is money wasted. I don't like to waste money! Bugalug is a company based in Calgary, Alberta that specializes in "Stay-put Accessories for the Urban Girl". Stay-put is the important part of that phrase. Bugalug clips are magnet free and have a silicon gel strip on the inside of every clip. What does this mean? That little gel strip is the magic of these barrettes. With these strips, the barrettes stay put and don't sloooooowly slide out of fine baby hair like other clips can. I tried a Bugalug clip in my own hair, to keep my bangs off my face and it worked like a charm. So...in this case Nevaeh is going to have to share her clips with me! That's something I like about these clips, they're funky and fun but not so cutesy that mom can't wear them too.

Another difference between Bugalug and other clips? Bugalug uses no glue. No glue means no clumps under the fabric of the barrette and it also means these clips can go in the wash (inside a lingerie bag works like a charm). The clips are my favorite, but Bugalug also has awesome headbands that actually stay on your head (infants to adult). The trick here is the toggle used on the headbands. No elastic means no spring-back of the elastic causing it to slide off your head. Again, these are items that can be shared with mother and daughter.

A new item from Bugalug is their soother clips! I was kind of bummed that I didn't get a chance to use these when Nevaeh still had a soother but then I learned that they are multifunctional. You could snap two clips together and use them as mitten clips (seriously, why do baby mittens disappear as quickly as baby socks...where is the hidden land of mittens and socks?)

Have I mentioned this company is from Calgary? I love Canadian companies but I also have a soft spot for prairie businesses holding their own in the marketplace. Bugalug has a soft spot for Feisty Frugal and Fabulous readers and wants to offer one of you the 6 Pack Sweet Treats barrette gift set for Christmas!

To enter, go to Bugalug and check out the accessories they have. Then, come back here and comment telling me your favorite style of barrette, headband, or soother clip.

As I have no girl to put hair clips in (boo! I guess I could wear them myself), I love the charcoal dots soother saver clip.

Well, I like all of them. But to pick, I would say the berry delight, or chocolate kiss barrettes. And also the charcoal dots soother clip. I can't really pick a certain head band...like them all.

I LOVE THESE!! I had to bookmark the site right away so I could go back. I have bought several bows for Addison's hair but they just won't stay in! I love the Chocolate Kiss and Pretty in Pink barrettes.
I love the Soother Savers...since we are always having them drop on the ground and having to go through about a million a day this would benefit us for sure. Love the Charcoal Dots and Polka Dots!

Since I'm surrounded by boys and DS won't take a soother, I'm picking out headbands that I like! Fancy Pants Grey Stitch would make a pretty headband!

These would be fabulous as my girls have very fine hair and barettes are always sliding out! I am so excited about this one!
