EarthLust - Review & Giveaway (closed)

After the initial BPA-scare happened last year, after baby bottles were pulled off the market, we all started looking in our own households for possible BPA contaminates. It became clear that even if there were households with no babies, there were still high BPA contact items that many of us were using daily.

Slowly, but surely, I started seeing plastic water bottles disappearing from the desks and bags of those around me and being replaced with stylish stainless steel bottles. I happened to like them...a lot, but wasn't sure if I should make the switch. See, being at home now I don't have a need for a water bottle with me all day (ahhh I remember the days of having a real desk with a water bottle on it).

EarthLust sent me two 20 oz bottles to try, and my first impression was how pretty they were! I got the two designs shown here. I'm kind of a loser that way, if something is pretty and visually appealing I'm much more likely to try it. Is that weird? Anyway, I wanted to do a little experiment to see if I would actually drink more water during the day if I had a bottle beside me. Yes, I'm home all day and pass the water cooler several times, but as with anything if I see it and it's within reach, chances are I will actually use it.


Guess what, I actually do! It's like a little victory for me when I get through one full bottle, and then sometimes another (that's 40 oz!) I have to be honest here and say that I kind of like tossing the bottle in my diaper bag because it happens to look so nice. And guess what, I drink water when we're out shopping now too! Again, I know how I am and it's simply because I have something pretty and new to play with...er...drink out of. Whatever the reason, I'm drinking more water and just happen to look good (and so environmentally friendly) doing it. Yay me!
