NEUAURA (closed)

Fashion has come so far in recent years - now more than ever if you have a specific cause, something you feel strongly about, you don't have to compromise fashion for it. Arti Upadhyay, the founder of NEUAURA shoes, created her company out of her concern for animals, and out of her love of fabulous shoes of course! It's funny, when we think of footwear worn by socially conscious people, a particular shoe style may come to mind. NEUAURA breaks this stereotype by bringing you fashion forward footwear that also happens to be vegan.

I was so very lucky to be able to try three pairs of NEUAURA shoes (yes, Arti is now my new favorite shoe fashionista!)

The Macaw Black shoe is perfect for this mom on the go. The synthetic leather outer material doesn't feel stifling at all (which may be a concern with synthetic fabrics) which is likely due to the mesh lining which helps with breathability. I liked the rubber sole on the bottom - often times with a dressy looking shoe like this, you end up with a sole that is slippery and I can't risk falling down carrying my little one, no matter how fabulous the shoe may be. The Macaw Black shoe looks great with jeans, capris, or skirts and I love the extra detail of the ankle strap. (ARV $109.00)

The Tapir Canary/White sandal is so much fun! I guess I've become a bit of a bore since becoming a mom because my sandals are all basic black or brown tones, and when I received this pair from NEUAURA it made me smile. A bright and funky sandal like this can dress up a pair of dark denim jeans easily. (ARV $99.00)

The third pair of shoes that I was sent to review, are what I fondly call my pretty babies - the Tamarin Wine shoe! These pretty babies are a synthetic patent leather material in a gorgeous rich color, with a 2.5" heel and a rubber sole that I love! Funny that I should mention the sole of such a beautiful shoe as something I love but again, walking in heels with a toddler can be a bad You Tube video waiting to happen and having a rubber sole helps immensely. I picked all three pairs in my usual size 8 and they all fit perfectly. Of the three, the Macaw Black was the slimmest fitting pair and the Tapir Canary/White was the widest fit but I think you can tell that from the photos so there should be no surprises with fit when ordering from the site.
