Disney Mickey’s Magical Christmas: Snowed in at the House of Mouse, which debuted in 2001, stars more than 35 Disney characters including Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Cinderella, Ariel, Belle, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Piglet, Bambi, Dumbo, The Lion King and more.

When a snowstorm leaves everyone stranded, Mickey and all his guests at the House of Mouse decide to make the best of it with cookies, hot chocolate, and even some old home movies that Minnie pulls out. Donald is feeling rather bah-humbugish (so not a word but today it is) but while reminiscing with his friends, he too finds the holiday spirit.

I was eager to review this movie with the kids, curious more than anything to see the 35 Disney characters involved! What a cool idea for Disney to put everyone's favorites together at the time of the year when we all come together regardless if we have spots or stripes or...well...tails. It was fun to see each new character come into the story and it was a very sweet tale to watch with some recognizable Christmas holiday themes along the way.

Bonus features include the premiere episode of House of Mouse, The Sounds of Christmas (a Disney sound effects featurette), and 2 sing along songs (so cute!): Deck The Halls and Sleigh Ride.Disney fans young and old alike will love this holiday treat. It's especially fun for children who are just being introduced to Disney characters, because they delight in seeing some of their favorites on screen when they don't expect them to be there. "Plin-cess mommy!"
